Review:
As expected from the time I unboxed this model kit, I knew it was gonna be a fast build. There were only few parts, and the colors are simple as red and white. I admit it's kind of dull if you build it as it is. That's why I added some gold and black markings to make it more cool, especially on the arms and legs. Aside from the model, I also added some details on the  beam saber handles, beam rifle, shield and katana. The katana is my favorite part of the kit and also one of the reason why I bought this model. Along with it is the sheathe, which you can attach to the left side on the waist. Another feature of the model is the movable backpack where the beam saber handles are attached. The model kit also comes with a few stickers which you will hardly notice and four decals that you can stick on the shoulders and shield.

Red Frame has the best articulation I've seen so far on the HG scale. It mainly focuses on the shoulders and feet. The shoulders allows the arms to a wide variety of movements and the feet allows the model to lean forward with a lot of striking position. All the parts are properly secured in place, so no need to worry about the arms and legs from falling. There's no issue weight either. The Red Frame can hold all of his equipment firmly. Except the model has to hold the beam rifle with the trigger hand. I really enjoyed taking a lot of pictures of the Red Frame. Although I encountered difficulties on some of the poses due to the scale's physical limitation. Good thing I was able to compensate and was still able to perform great poses. These are just some of the poses I could come with. I sure this model can still do more.

The model kit itself is great and the only bad thing I can say is that it lacks an extra hand for an open palm. Some of the poses would have been better with an open palm. But that's just a minor flaw. In the end, its really up to you on how you can make most of the model. Overall, the Red Frame is one of the best HG model kit you can buy. Two of the reasons is that the articulation is one of a kind and the kit comes with a metallic sword. Not to mention that you get all these cool features at a low price. It's a fact that the Red Frame is one of the popular gunplas. So for those who doesn't have the HG Red frame yet, I highly recommend that you buy it. The HG may be lesser compare to the MG and PG, but I can assure you that the model kit will give you some challenge and lots of fun. I like the HG Red Frame and I hope everyone does as well. This concludes my review for the HG 1/144 - Gundam Astray Red Frame. Thank you for reading and I hope you found it useful. Check out also my other gunpla reviews.

Review:
This is such a cute gundam and I really enjoyed taking pictures of it.  I never thought of customizing a gundam like a bear is possible.

It was an easy build, you can finish this in one sitting.  As you can see I lost a small piece just above the nose.  I just recently notice it after taking the pictures.  So that's one of the disadvantage when having really, really small parts especially if it's loose.  Too bad it couldn't hold the flute (used for firing the laser in its mouth) and it's only attached to the backpack.  Also, instead of flipping the backpack open for the missiles, you have to detached the upper part.  You can open its mouth too though I was expecting there's a hole inside to attach the flute.  I didn't like the round parts you attached with the shoulder and the legs.  It moves around and doesn't hold in its place.

There are 3 sets of eyes, at first I thought you can switch on either of the three but you can only use one set.  So I chose the cute googly eyes.  I like it when you can turn the ears to add more cuteness to the pose.

As for the arm extension, using it in one arm can be heavy for Bearguy during a pose. (since it was used in one arm in one of the pictures in the box).  Making it equal for both arms is much better.

I really like how a customized Acguy can turn out to be this cute bear.  I don't know how the characters in Gunpla Builders did it but somehow it became an icon for that anime (instead of Beginning gundam).

I might get one of this again to customize it with a different color.  I recommend it to those gundam fans whose still kid at heart.  Sure it might not be that challenging to build but taking pictures of it is the fun part and actually the main reason why I bought this.  Also, you can try painting it to whichever you like it to portray. (like a Panda for example).

Stay tuned for my next post as I take pictures of Bearguy with his new found buddy.

Rating: 5/5 (because of cuteness)

Gunpla Checklist: Gunpla Builders

This is a gunpla checklist for the Gunpla Builders series. It is a short OVA series of 4 episodes, which makes sense that it only has a short list of gunpla model kits. But lately different versions of the Beginning Gundam are being released. So we can expect more from this series in the future. As of the moment the the Gunpla Builders has a total of 8 HG model kits. Not sure if the series will get any higher grades.

HG 1/144 (8)
- Beginning Gundam
- Beginning 30 Gundam
- Beginning J Gundam
- Beginning D Gundam
- Hi-v Gundam
- Super Custom Zaku F2000
- Bearguy
- Forever Gundam

Unbox: HG 1/144 - Gundam Astray Red Frame

Expectations:
The Gundam Astray Red Frame is one of the most popular and in demand gundam of all time. Who wouldn't like a gundam that has a samurai sword for it's main weapon. The HG version is nothing compared to it's MG and PG. But I would like to enhance my gunpla skills and test myself on how much detail I could put on this small scale. The box is a little bit smaller than your average HG. Although the pictures on the box are great. So I'm expecting a lot of cool poses once I finish the model. When you open the box, you will see there are 6 runners and most of them are small. Its obvious that it's going to be a quick build. Other than the instruction guide and runners, the model kit also comes with decals and stickers. They are few, so expect to do most of the details yourself. That's about it for the unboxing of the HG 1/144 - Gundam Astray Red Frame. Thank you for reading and look forward to it's completion. I really hope that it will turn out the way I want it to be. Check out also my other gunpla model kit unbox posts.
