Review: HG 1/144 - Strike Freedom Gundam Ver. GFT

Wing effect parts from the regular HG Strike Freedom

Review:
After having the HG and MG scale of the Strike Freedom. I was curious in trying it's HG ver. GFT as well. It was actually easy to build since all the parts are still the same as from the initial HG kit. So do expect the same articulation. Although the previous blue beam saber has been now changed to red. What makes this ver. GFT special are the additional stickers and decals. It really made a big improvement on the details, especially the gold markings on the wings. You could say it almost leveled up the HG to a RG model.

To make things better, the kit also came with a stage to display the upper body of the model. This is to imitate the bust size statue of the Strike Freedom  located at Gundam Front Tokyo. There are also small figures of Kira and Lacus which also comes with a stage on their own.

Overall, the Ver. GFT is worth getting only if you haven't got the regular HG Strike Freedom yet. I admit the additional details and stage are great but the price is too much. With that amount your better off getting a RG or MG kit instead.
