Gundam Made Out of Cardboard

Imagine that you have a spare of cardboard boxes at home, you got bored and so your creativity kicks in.

Who would've thought that there's such a thing as a gundam made out of cardboard?

It's 2m tall and cost ¥2,000 to create.  I don't know how heavy this is, but it probably weighs a lot.  It would be nice to have it painted.  Whoever did this must've had a lot of patience to create one.

So don't throw out any spare cardboards, make use of it and let your creative juices spark.

Review:
I've been wanting this game since I first saw the trailer. Just seeing the 00 Raiser and Unicorn fighting against the Sinanju and Reborns is giving me goosebumps. I know it's going to be an epic game. After waiting for over a year, I finally got the game. For those who are new this game, this is an adaptation of the popular game series, "Dynasty Warriors". This is a hack and slash - strategy game where you will go to battles and fight numerous foes. Your main weapons are your knowledge and fighting skills. But instead of human warriors, you will make use of mobile suits to fight. So expect more of long range battle since most mobile suits make use of beam rifles. The past two game volumes were successful and made a huge impact to the gaming industry. As a result, a 3rd installment was made to meet the demands of the fans. Hopefully the series will continue to grow and expand in the future.

The gameplay in Gundam Musou 3 is relatively the same with some new added features. But the one you will appreciate the most is the "partner strike". You will have a partner mobile suit that you can call out during battle to assist you in causing more damage to the enemy. The storyline is also great. You will witness different alliances formed between mobile suits which you never thought was possible and new enemies will appear as well. In addition to that, the graphics are high quality. Every cutscene and mobile suit action are well detailed. It makes your gaming experience so intense that you will feel like your watching an actual gundam movie. Prepare to devote most your time for this game as you go over 300+ missions. If your tired of playing alone, you could also go online and play with other players. Aside from the game improvements, there are new mobile suits added to the game: sinanju, unicorn, destiny, etc. Most of them came from the 00 series. That's about it for the game's main features.

I couldn't find any flaws in this game. It's perfect in every aspect, most especially the gameplay and graphics. Everything you want from a gundam game is here. Although it would have been better if the game got an english version so that it would attract more fans into playing. I'm looking forward on how this game will evolve even further in the next volume. Hopefully more surprising features and new mobile suits. I would like to see the gundams from the 00 movie in action (00 Qan[T], Harute, Zabanya and Raphael). Overall, I love this game and it's worth buying. I highly recommend this game to everyone, most especially to the fans of dynasty warriors and gundam. This is a game like no other and I assure that you will love this game also. That concludes my review for the Gundam Musou 3. I hope you find it useful. Also check out my other gundam related game reviews.

Review:
I was surprised when I found out theres an anime for gunpla. So I watched it right away. The story is about a boy named Haru who visited the 1/1 life-size RX-78 Gundam and got interested in gunpla. He chose to buy the Beginning Gundam for his gunpla. But he had no idea that the model kit he purchased was a rare gunpla. After building the Beginning, his friend introduces him to gunpla battle. This is a simulation game were you will take control of your gunpla to fight other gunplas. Haru then realized that the strength of a gunpla depends on how you build it. So Haru rebuild his Beginning Gundam and added some details to make it more powerful. Thats basically the main idea of the story. I won't say anything about the story anymore since it might spoil you. If you want to know more, you have to watch the anime yourself.

This anime is a great way to introduce the gunpla to the new generation. Too bad its only a short ova. It would have been better if it was a seasonal anime. Also, the show should have focused more on the gunpla building aspect rather than the gunpla battle. There are only a few scenes where the anime features some tips on gunpla. I guess its only natural to exaggerate the gunpla since its in anime. The anime also features some of the popular gunplas such as Hi-nu, Red Astray, Zaku, Forever and many more. Despite the fact that its a short anime and lacking on the gunpla building aspect, I still like the anime. Its a good combination of the gundam hobby and gunpla hobby. I recommend this anime to the gundam fans and to those who are interested in gunpla.

Gunpla Checklist: Gundam 00 (UPDATED 2015)

This is a gunpla checklist for the Gundam 00 series. I made this post to help those gunpla collectors in knowing how many model kits are there in the series and what models are available for each scale. The 00 Gundam is one of the best series when it comes to anime and gunpla models. As of now there are a total of 106 model kits for the 00 series. I can't say it's perfect because I might miss out on some limited gunplas. Keep a look out for updates.

Review:

This is the best gundam game I've played so far. Just by looking at the cd cover gives you an expectation on how great this game is. The game teases you at the very beginning. On the 1st stage you will start with the four main gundams of the 00 series fighting against the Sinanju and some other mobile suits. After a while the Unicorn, Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice appears to aid you in battle. How cool is that? If thats not enough, wait until you get through the game where you will travel to different gundam series. What really attracted me into playing this game is that almost all of the gundams, mobile suits and pilots from every gundam series are in the game. From the very 1st Gundam up to the latest Gundam Unicorn.

For those who are familiar with the SD Generation series or Super Robot Wars, this game is pretty much the same. As for the first timers, no need to worry because the gameplay is easy to understand. This game is basically a strategy, turn-based type, wherein you will deploy units to fight against the enemy's army. So the difficulty of the game really depends on how you plan and manage your units. My favorite part of the game is where you level up your mobile suits to develop new and stronger ones. An example is the Strike Gundam evolving into the Akatsuki, then going through the Freedom, and finally turning into the Strike Freedom. Aside from developing mobile suits, you can capture enemy's mobile suits to make it your own, combine two mobile suits to form a new one or exchange them for stronger models. Other than the gameplay, another great thing about this game is the graphics. Each mobile suit has its own unique set of attacks and each one of those gets a heavy graphic battle animation which makes your gaming experience more intense. Well thats about it for the game's main features.

I don't have anything bad to say for this game. Everything is perfect and it even exceeded my expectations. My only problem is that the game is in japanese and I couldn't understand some part of it. I'm a little disappointed that a great game such as this didn't get any english version. Honestly I'm not a fan of the SD Gundam. But this game changed my perception. It takes the strategy, turn-based genre to a whole new level. I'm excited on how this series will evolve even further. I love this game and I highly recommend you play it too. Its a fun and addicting game. I would also like to take note that this is the Gundam 00 Qan[T]'s 1st game appearance. As a gundam fan I'm sure you don't want to miss out on this. So go get yourself a copy of the game and start playing. Too bad the Zabanya, Harute and Raphael wasn't included. This concludes my review for the SD Gundam G Generation World. I hope you found my review useful. Check out also my other gundam related game reviews.

Giant Gundam (Made in China)

Still remember the life-size gundam build in Japan? Well, China is not about to lose to copy the same thing.

This was being erected in Sichuan theme park last December 2010.

We're used to seeing gundam models used the color white and blue, so the yellow thing bothers me.  I wonder why they choose yellow.

But then, China decides to make their own "original" style of gundam.

After its mysterious disappearance, the Chinese gundam returned on January 2011 and it looks like it has its new modifications.

Looks like there are a mixed of familiar elements mashed together in it, huh?

So, it makes me wonder...

                              Zaku + Gundam equals... hmm...
