Collecticon 2016 (Sept 17)

It's been a while since we last attended a con.  Before we used to attend Best of Anime in SMX during September but lately we've been cutting it down to conventions that focuses on selling toys & collectibles so we tried to check out Collecticon in Megamall.

Philippines Gundam Model Kit Contest 2016

Gundam Model Kit Contest is held at SM Megamall. It was fun taking pictures in this event as we can see how amazing & creative fellow Gundam fans can be. There's a Gundam Caravan if you want to build your own gundam on the spot.  You never know you might be a lucky winner.  Then you can go shopping, courtesy of Toy Kingdom.  Some are even on sale. We even spotted some limited edition gunpla kits.

I hope next year we'll be able to get our creative juices flowing to be able to participate.

ToyCon 2015 Day 1 (June 19, 2015)

Here's our annual ToyCon & this is our first time to attend on Day 1.  We only took a few pictures before our camera's battery suddenly died down.  Still, we never go home empty handed.

Animax Carnival 2015 (May 31)

This is the first time that Animax Carnival held here in the Philippines so we didn't missed that chance to attend this event because it was an awesome & fun experience for us.

Philippines just held it's Gundam Model Kit Contest last May 18-25 at SM Megamall.

It's really amazing that you can recycle gunpla runners and turn them into a work of art.

Ozine Fest 2015 Day 3 (April 26)

This year, Ozine Fest is back in Megamall.  Last year they were in Mall of Asia.  This is convenient for us since it's not that far away.  But they included a new rule that there will be no loitering within the event grounds or taking pictures of the cosplayers.  So they set up in 3 Megatrade halls so that cosplayers were given enough space to fix themselves & room to take pictures.  It was very spacious although it's still crowded in the booth area so it's still difficult to check out every booth without bumping into someone.

There's still the usual Horror booth and Maid Cafe. But we only spend time shopping, taking a few pictures while we can and watching the band on stage playing some classic Anime/Toku openings in Filipino version which brings back a nostalgic feeling.

We didn't stay long so we didn't catch up other cosplayers & we missed the part wherein they put up the Anime tarpaulins for auction. But we still enjoyed our stay.

ToyCon 2014 Day 3 (June 23, 2014)

We really had a great experience at this year's Toycon event. First we stopped by at the Rurouni Kenshin booth to check out the costume replicas and screenshots from the upcoming sequel movie. Next, we took lots of pictures from the toy museum. There were lots of different toys. From the classic, vintage toys to the present.

It was tiring to go along with the crowd while toy hunting but it was fun. It's always worth it to attend Toycon even though it usually burns our pocket. Still, we can't help it but feel the happiness and sparkle in our eyes whenever we buy the toys we love. See you guys again at the next ToyCon.

Ozine Fest 2014 Day 3 (April 27)

This is the first time that Ozine Fest was held at SMX Mall of Asia.  It was a hot day and security is pretty tight but that didn't stop the otaku fans from coming. It's the last day at Ozine Fest and the crowd is still jam packed.  Good thing we already bought our tickets in advance last TagCom event so we didn't have to go through a very long line.  I thought we're going to receive a goody bag from buying the limited version of tickets but we got into the event hassle-free anyway so that's good enough.

8th TagCom Day 2 (April 13, 2014)

This is our first time to attend TagCom because it was held in Mega Mall so we didn't missed that chance.  It was a small event but we had fun and bought a few toys.  This is somewhat like a mini ToyCon for us.

Christmas ToyCon 2013 Day 3 (Dec 15)

It's the part 2 of our favorite toy convention that we always make sure to save up for.  A Toy Auction is also being held here and the amount they receive will be donated to the Yolanda victims. It's great to know that there's still continuous help from generous people until this month, so hopefully everyone will enjoy this Christmas.

Otaku Expo Reload Day 2 (Nov 17 2013)

It's day two at otaku expo reload convention at SMX Mall of Asia. This time, it's not just about cosplaying with your friends and shopping for otaku goodies but to also help out with the victims of the storm Yolanda.
