Review:
At last after 4 WIP posts of the RG Freedom Gundam, I finally finished the model and now is my full review of the model kit. Let's start with the frames. For some reason the front and back piece of the upper body won't close tightly together. It's a good thing you could barely see it. The back part of the wings also loosen up easily upon movement. Aside from those, no need to worry about parts falling or breaking off from the model. A small figure of Kira Yamato is included in the kit. Be careful in handling this figure since it's very tiny and could easily break.

I really love the realistic details made on the RG Freedom Gundam. One of those would be the cockpit. Portion of the upper chest slightly opens up for you to see the location of the cockpit. Too bad the Kira figure can't fit inside.  As you can see decals are everywhere. Although not all the decals are gonna be used. Just like previous RG models, bronze decals are applied on the forearm and back knee. But the bronze decals on the forearm gets easily worn out. Unlike the bronze decals on the back knee that sticks pretty well. Of course I also did a lot of panel lining on different parts of the body, including the wings and armament.

This model kit has a lot of features to offer. It comes with 2 Beam Sabers which can be connected together to form a Double-bladed Beam Saber. I find the Beam Sabers too long. It would have been better if it was a bit shorter. You can store the beam saber handles by mounting them on the hips. On the hips you will also find the Rail Cannons. They are folded together and opens up during firing position. The Freedom's main  weapon is the Beam Rifle which is being held by the trigger finger on the right hand. It can also be stored at the back waist. While the Shield is attached to the elbow and is being held by the left hand. There is a bit of issue on the Shield. Whenever you raise the left arm, it has the tendency to slowly drop due to the weight of the Shield. Last of the armament is the Freedom's most powerful weapon, the Plasma Beam Cannons. They are stored in the wings and can be flipped over to the shoulders.

I'm having a hard time making the Freedom stand on it's own feet due to the weight of the wings. So as much as possible this model is better to be displayed on an action base. I had a lot of fun taking pictures of the model. The articulation is great and I was able to make great poses of the model. Aside from the basic body parts, there are extra movements coming from the wings, armament and the booster on the legs. The kit also comes with 6 hands. 2 closed fists, 2 hands with movable fingers, 1 trigger finger for the right hand and 1 open palm for the left hand.

Overall, I give the Freedom Gundam a perfect score. It may have some minor flaws, but it clearly defines on what a RG model should be. As of the moment it's my most favorite gunpla model. I enjoyed every second I spent with the model kit. Any gunpla fan would want to have this. After this, I'll be sure to get more RG model kits. This concludes my full review of the RG 1/144 - Freedom Gundam. Thanks for viewing and I hope you find it useful. Be sure to check my future posts. I'll be making a Full Burst Mode post for the Freedom Gundam with effect parts. So look forward to that.
